British Hen Welfare Trust
Helpline Appeal
During the Covid-19 emergency, the BHWT had to move away from rehoming and focus more on helping hens from the end of the phone, offering much needed hen health and husbandry advice to hen-keepers whilst access to vets was so restricted. Online hen health information is also available at www.bhwt.org.uk/hen-health/.
Call 01884 860084 or email your question to henhelpline@bhwt.co.uk.
They have now launched a fundraising appeal to enable this vital work to continue. www.bhwt.org.uk/donate/hen-helpline-appeal-donation/
By the time you are reading this article, the BHWT may well be rehoming hens again and prospective hen-keepers should keep checking their website and social media posts for updated information.
