                                     second and third. Both have very neat plots with a mixture of vegetables and fruit, and Sue has many cut flowers. We also hold the competition for Best Polytunnel Plot, and this was won by Robert Birnie with a very well-grown plot that included some intriguing yard long beans. The Best Newcomer Award went to Brett Skingle, who with his partner made a fantastic effort despite taking on the plot late in the spring.
It won’t be long before crops finish
for this year and the big clear-up will start, ready for that winter digging and
all-important preparation and deciding what to grow for next year. By now you should have received your 2022 NAS Kings Seeds catalogue which is filled with many old favourites and lots of tried and tested exciting new varieties. Plus, don’t forget: if any NAS member has a seed problem and needs some free advice, the team at Kings Seeds are always at the end of a phone to help.
