As this edition goes to print we are starting to see the green shoots of recovery taking effect with many more camps and activities taking place all over the region, from sailing and boating activities on the water for the Sea Cadets, annual camps and exercises for the Army Cadets and the Air Cadets are really back in the air; taking off with many gliding opportunities at RAF Topcliffe and Syerston. Stories and all of these activities are featured in this edition and it is particularly pleasing to see that all three service cadet forces are bouncing back.
Recruiting is showing good signs too as a number of adult volunteers and cadets who have been eagerly awaiting the reopening are now starting to progress into their chosen units, which will boost the numbers of dedicated adults and cadets who have kept their units afloat during the last 18 months.
Many of the activities mentioned above have also featured on the RFCA website at https://www.rfca-yorkshire. org.uk in addition to their own media channels. Do take a look at the RFCA website too.
Please continue to send, high quality stories and pictures in for
the magazine, which makes for excellent reading material, not just around Yorkshire and the Humber,
but nationally. A plea though, do look closely at the quality of the pictures being sent with stories; many have been rejected as they of poor quality or content and would detract from what would otherwise be good contribu- tions. Keep sending your stories and do please note the copy dates below and the guidance notes on submission of articles.
