Strength to strength – Lynn Wesby’s memorial garden news
Not only was Lynn a loving and beautiful wife, mum and daughter but she was also a well-loved teacher by all children, parents and colleagues throughout her 23 years working at Thrapston Primary School. Producing a garden and mud kitchen for all the children to use all year round will always ensure Lynn will continue to be loved.
Each weekend shows progress throughout the whole memorial garden and mud kitchen, with the month of January showing the most progress.
The snow did not stop an army of loving volunteers from helping make Lynn’s garden and mud kitchen start to look fantastic. (All within social distancing guidelines and family bubbles).
Paths dug out, base for special feature laid, gardens cleared, mud kitchen levelled, covered and floor put down. Two tonnes of mud for the kitchen placed in planters ready for washing machines to go into overdrive... Logs and tree stumps all placed within Lynn’s garden, ready to become homes for various bugs and insects.
February should see the installation of the ‘special feature’, turf laid, pathways put in and the kitchens built ready to make its first mud pies.
The Just Giving page is doing really well but we are still in need of donations to
further improve Lynn’s Butterfly Memorial Garden and Mud Kitchen.
Lynn loved butterflies and taught the children within the Butterfly classroom.
We have had Lynn’s Butterfly embroidered onto hoodies which people have asked if they can purchase too. With this in mind we are selling them and all the profit made from them will go towards assisting the progress of Lynn’s Butterfly Memorial Garden and
