Amongst the headstones in this cemetery one occasionally comes across intriguing inscriptions. One such
commemorates the long and happy marriage of Hilda and Jack (Jacek) Blocki, re-united after death in
Plot 3, Row B, and hinting at an exceptional life in both the Polish and the Royal Air Force, with mention
of an unfamiliar honour, which encourage the visitor to delve further into their history. A ‘Google’ search
on ‘Jack Blocki’ amply rewards such a hunt, especially through his obituary in the October 2010 issue of
the Journal of the Episkopi Hash House Harriers, revealing an inspirational character.
