For this year, in collaboration with Oundle Fringe and OTC, we are planning a traditional village fete to be held
on 8th of July, meanwhile the life of the field continues with dog walkers, runners, and local residents all using the field.
Once the legalities are completed, Fletton Field will be a town asset and as such Oundle Town Council and the residents will be responsible for its upkeep and development. Fletton Field Association will make proposals to OTC for things such as a community orchard, dog poo bins, cycle racks, and picnic and park benches. There will be an opportunity at the Oundle Town meeting on Thursday April 27th for public feedback, and we hope we can start some working on suggestions towards the end of the year.
Recently Glenrowan Homes have started the process of re-development of the Old Abbott House site. We have been working closely with them and NNC to establish continued access from Glapthorn Road, and we are hopeful of a positive result.
