Kingham Hill School
Happy children are usually successful children. That conviction animates the KHS approach, which provides a rounded and holistic experience for boys and girls. The best advertisements for our School are the personable, mature, and engaging young people who emerge from our Sixth Form, and there are reasons why that is the case.
Academically, we don’t have a hot-house style, but KHS has been consistently in the top 5% of schools nationally for value- added in recent years. We strongly believe in a culture of liberal learning (academic curiosity for its own sake), and that is
the basis of our reporting and tutorial philosophy.
Pastorally, it is impossible for anyone to slip between the cracks; small is beautiful. We are a School of 350 pupils with small boarding and day houses, and tiny tutor
groups; everyone gets the care they need to flourish, and every child is known.
Our Founder established a clear Christian ethos for KHS; there is an expectation of kindness and respect,
but pupils are encouraged to debate and think for themselves. Chapel remains the heartbeat of the School, regardless of pupils’ backgrounds, and helps to inspire our unofficial motto: ‘Work Hard, Play Hard, and Serve Well’.
  Bromsgrove – happy and successful
At Bromsgrove, we believe pupils are happiest when they are succeeding.
We offer an all-round education, combining academic excellence with a richness of opportunity. Pupils engage enthusiastically with knowledge, embrace new ideas and are intellectually stimulated. We pride ourselves on the outstanding opportunities available, both inside and outside the classroom. The massive range of activities, combined with outstanding academic provision and
the most caring pastoral support, is just a flavour of what makes a Bromsgrove pupil so successful in their future careers.
Facilities at Bromsgrove have been improved beyond measure in the last decade. All sections of the School benefit from state of the art teaching areas. Outside areas are extensive with beautiful, landscaped grounds and dedicated sports areas blending seamlessly. Boarding provision is second to none with new and refurbished houses sitting comfortably within the School grounds. But don’t be distracted by the School’s breathtaking facilities, nestled in over 100 magnificent acres; the heart of Bromsgrove’s success
is its people. Over 1,600 pupils, boys
and girls, day and boarding, aged 3-18, are what give the School its vibrancy, with a staff of some of the nation’s finest educators, coaches and caregivers - passionate professionals, as invested in your child as you are.
