C (RIFLES) COY HWACF
The training year of Hereford and Worcester ACF got off to a busy start with adults and cadets deploying to Otterburn for annual camp. The weather was kind and a good time was had by all. Soon after annual camp we said a fond farewell to CSM Simon Gryntus who was leaving the company after 13 years to become RSM. In his stead we welcomed, on promotion, SMI Andy Bowden.
C Coy is a wholly Rifles cap-badged company and it took a full part in cadet commemorations for the First World War Armistice at home and abroad with a cohort travelling to Ypres to take part in the National Army Cadet Force ceremony. A similar party later deployed to Normandy this June to take part in the National Army Cadet Force ceremony in Normandy.
March is the time when, after twelve months in post, Lord Lieutenants’ cadets stand down and new ones appointed. They support the Lord Lieutenant when carrying out her official duties and accompany

her on Royal visits, Citizenship ceremonies, award presentations many other activities. It is an excellent way of getting The Rifles cap badge seen within the community.
