                                FARMER’S MARKET
In September, Thrapston Farmers Market celebrated its 7th birthday!
If you’ve never visited, or haven’t been for
a while, then pop down to Thrapston High Street on the first Saturday of each month. You’ll find a really good range of food and drink stalls selling locally produced and grown products – from Thrapston-made Welsh cakes to Lincolnshire sausages, wines from a Lowick vineyard to sourdough breads, local eggs to fenland vegetables... plus a lot more!
The market runs from 9am to 1pm and is run by a small team of volunteers; all proceeds go back into the town through local projects and charitable groups.
We started the market back in
2014 as a way of helping to put
Thrapston High Street on the
map, and to support local farms.
And what a success it has become!
We attract shoppers from across
the region and not only has this benefitted the stallholders, but the many great shops, cafes and traders based in town have welcomed new customers. Market Saturdays are buzzing!
Many thanks must go to the hard work
and efforts that the team put into running the market – Zoey Boon, Lindsey Burch, Charlotte Croser, Donna Thomas and Sarah Whiteside. Thanks also to Gerry Cairns for signage.
