was moved from Thrapston to work in Wellingborough. The company was rebranded Weatherby Woolnough. The Thrapston premises were behind the telephone box in this undated picture of Oundle Road.
On 21st December 1962, the factory Christmas party was held at the White Hart Hotel in Thrapston, this photograph being taken during the evening with Barbara Knight on the right. During the 1960’s the company entered floats in the Thrapston Carnival and Parades;
undated pictures of some are shown (all from the Barbara Knight archive).
The premises were taken over by Ablett Plastics who remained on the site until demolition in 1998, shown above. Ablett Close, off Oundle Road, commemorates the last owners of this industrial site.
