                                  Garden Waste
'Garden waste' is any organic matter from your garden such as grass clippings, pruned stems, dead plants, branches, deadheaded flowers, leaves, bulbs and soil.
It may seem harmless to pop your garden waste over the fence, under a hedgerow, in a field or in woodland but this is illegal and the waste itself can cause issues some residents might not be aware of.
The problem with dumping garden waste...
    Spreads diseases, pests & weeds
Taxpayers fund the cleanup
Impacts on native habitat & wildlife
Dumped garden waste attracts more dumping, making our town look messy and unloved
 Not to mention..
Dumping garden waste counts as fly-tipping which is a criminal offence punishable by a fine of up to £50,000 or 12 months imprisonment.
Please be a responsible gardener
