Garden of Remembrance
Staff Away Day in London
Following a very kind donation form Mrs Kathy Sheedy (wife of deceased Maj Mike Sheedy APTC the Association Trustees approved a new garden house for the Garden of Remembrance (GoR) within the grounds of the ASPT. The summer house will hold plaques (donated by the families) of those Association members who have gone to the big gym in the sky some of whom have had their ashes scattered in the GoR.
Remembrance
Remembrance events this year were again well attended with the Corps Association represented at the Cenotaph service march past and the Field of Remembrance.
The Association office is in the HQ RAPTC building and events are happening all year round but there is always time to get out of the office.
RAPTC Museum
Under the expert guidance of Mr Eli Dawson, the RAPTC Museum has positively developed and his enthusiasm knows no bounds. He has expanded the museum’s profile through the use of social media and a programme of community events, workshops and educational activities; he has also represented the RAPTC museum in the wider community, all of which has resulted in a raised awareness of the RAPTC museum and a considerable increase of visitors. His article and photos provide a snapshot of museum life and some of the activities.
