U3A BENCH
Place to remember
Thrapston and District u3a donated a commemorative bench to the Thrapston Park Project.
Last year was our u3a’s
10th anniversary and we
took part in a Members Mile
Challenge. Our members walked their mile
but also decided to make it a sponsored event. The money raised was used to buy a bench (and a plaque to put on it) to commemorate the anniversary. It sits among the daffodils planted by the primary school children and
the snowdrops planted by the WI, within the Thrapston Park Project and halfway round “our mile”. It is already in use and anyone who rests there now knows there is a local u3a.
