Newly promoted Cadet Staff Sergeant Safiya Leith and the Lord Lieutenant of the West Midlands
packed audience was treated to a fantastic display from D Company’s Drill team who have won the County competition for the last 2 years.
With the continued growth of the County we are looking to recruit both ex Regular’s and Reservists who would like to support the next generation of cadets and make

One such CFAV, is Staff Sergeant Instructor Sue Brealey who is based at Burton Detachment and who was formally recognised for completing 30 years’ service within the ACF. Sue said “I’ve seen so many young people come through the door and develop in to adults which has been fantastic” it is this devotion to duty that makes the ACF the on-going success that it is. The cadets are often asked to support events to remember the past as well as
the future. In March, cadets from Lichfield detachment marched side by side with
veterans from the Staffordshire Regiment who used the power of social media crowd funding to raise a staggering £65,000
from across the world to buy the lease for the Kings Head pub the spiritual home
of the Regiment. Cadets also continued
to support The Stoke-On-Trent Military Tattoo, now in its sixth year which offers spectacular evening’s entertainment in support of the Staffordshire Committee of the ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. The County’s Corps of Drums performed alongside the Band of the Mercian Regiment before the
