The Harborough Collective
Pilton All Saints & St Mary is delighted to welcome an ensemble from the Harborough Collective (violins x 2, viola, cello, bass, guitar) back to Pilton on Saturday 28th May after a gap of three years. Since 2012 Pilton’s annual concert series have attracted music lovers from all over the Nene Valley area who appreciate virtuoso performances from a talented
group of musicians.
Each year our programme has
featured at least one concert from
The Harborough Collective who have
built up a reputation in our area for
“thrilling performances” and “ingenious programming”. The Leicester Mercury
has described the Collective as “one
of the area’s most interesting and
adventurous musical enterprises”. Since
its formation in 2010, it has been led
by David Le Page, one of the UK’s most well- known violinists, who studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School. He is also Artistic Director of the Chamber Orchestra of the Swan based in Stratford-Upon-Avon. Mark Ashford (Head
of Guitar at the Birmingham Conservatoire of Music) will be playing the guitar during their performance at Pilton.

world. At Pilton they will be playing a selection of pieces of Baroque Music including Vivaldi’s Guitar Concerto, J
S Bach’s Air on the G string, Pachelbel’s Kanon, Corelli’s La Follia, J S Bach’s Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring and Vivaldi’s Summer from The Four Seasons.
We shall be fortunate to have the opportunity to appreciate their musical flair and expertise in our beautiful Church after being starved of live classical music for such a long time.
This promises to be an exciting experience at Pilton. Tickets are £15 each, 7.30pm, 28th May can be obtained by ringing 01832 720448.
All proceeds will go towards the upkeep of our Church.
