What your Regional Representative or Mentor can do for you.
Along with their role on the Society’s Management Board, NAS Regional Representatives deal with local member issues and offer support to sites under threat of disposal. Regional Representatives are supported in their role by the Allotment Mentors and both can offer advice and support around issues such as where to go for funding, how to
set up an association, becoming self-managed, disability access, different ways to promote your plots, working with community groups, what to do about security concerns or setting up an allotment project.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch.

A Look Back at National Allotments Week
A big thank you to all of you who let us know about your events. We were able to list many more than last year. The Press Association ran a NAW story that was shared by many local and regional papers; we also had interest from Northern Ireland for the rst time. The Belfast News Letter ran a story about the week and the Society. Regional TV programmes in South Wales, South West and the Midlands featured National Allotments Week. Mike Thurlow ran an introduction to allotment growing at Barnsdale gardens and we have plans to repeat and expand next year. Let us know if there is anything more we can do as a Society to support your events and Open Days.
