                                FROM THE
WHEELHOUSE
What an extraordinary 18 months we have had! As I write this, the further extension of Covid restrictions has just been announced and we are having to cancel our Summer Party plans as well as other events that were booked. I hope that by the time you are reading this, the re-branded End of Summer Party has been a huge success and the biggest and best party that the Club has seen – we all certainly deserve it.
I am so proud of my team, the Flag Officers and Committee Members, that have not ceased to continually adapt to the changing circumstances and always with great success. From Pizzas to Pasties, Household Racing to Home Deliveries, we have achieved so much in the most challenging of times and always in an effort to look after the interests of our members - our number one priority.
One thing that these strange times have demonstrated, is that our Club has an offering that people really want to be a part of; our swelling membership numbers are testament to that. Whether it’s family dinghy sailing at Gins, Racing on Southampton
Water and the Solent, or simply a haven in which to relax and enjoy great food and drink with the best views, RSYC has it all!
Looking ahead, the future of the Club is bright and with the support of my team and the Flag Officers, we will continue to evolve and develop to makeYOUR Club the best it possibly can be. As always if you have any suggestions on what you would like to see at RSYC just let me know.
Here’s to a ‘normal’ 2022!
