platoons, the Company was ready to get back to Northern Ireland and do some green soldiering. We could not end our duty on a dull note, so with help from Commander Field Army we were given permission by Her Majesty The Queen to Double Off the forecourt of Buckingham Palace on our last Queen’s Guard Dismount. This had never been done before and after some careful planning from the Company Serjeant Major and the Bugle Major, C Company 2 RIFLES were ready to make history. It was a great sight and the crowd had no idea what a treat they were in for and they certainly let the Riflemen know through loud cheers. Led by the Commanding Officer and Regimental Serjeant Major, it was executed to perfection and definitely the best Double Off all of us had ever seen! Captain Jamie Geddes
