About our work...
Services provided by Cransley Hospice are free of charge for the local community. The expert team provides care and support in the place you most want to be whether this is your own home, care home or in the hospice.
Recently the following services were provided for patients in North Northamptonshire:
• Hospice at Home nurses made 1,228
home visits, helping to care for 245
patients in their own homes.
• Clinical Nurse Specialists made 2,724
home visits for 498 patients.
• The In-Patient Unit cared for almost
200 patients requiring management of
difficult symptoms or end of life care.
• The Therapy Team provided 1,903 Occupational & Physiotherapy sessions
• A team of specialist doctors treated patients aged from 18 years and over with a wide range of conditions. This was for patients in the hospice, community
and at Kettering General Hospital.
• The Lymphoedema Service provided
657 treatments to 71 patients
• Throughout the services, emotional and
spiritual care was also provided to 1,947
patients.
• The hospice Chaplin provided comfort
and support to 471 patients.
• Bereavement services delivered over
449 support sessions to help families
through a very difficult time
Cransley Hospice Trust had to raise £1.4 million to support the provision of the above services.

How we are funded
The care provided is jointly funded by the charity and by the NHS through Northamptonshire Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG).
There are two Hospice Charities funding these services Cransley Hospice Trust (CHT) in the north of the county and Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity (CSHC) in the south. The two charities work in partnership with the CCG to describe (commission) the services that are needed and to jointly fund them.
The two charities have committed themselves to increase the amount they raise each year so that more people can be helped by the service and that the service can be improved. Our focus for improvement at the moment is to expand care in the community (Hospice at Home).
