QARANC Corps Day – Op HERRICK 17B
Dear Ms Duncombe
As the Senior Nursing Officer
for Herrick 17B I am writing on behalf of all QARANC personnel under my Command to thank you for your support and contribution to our QARANC Corps celebrations. It gave us the UK Nursing group the opportunity to inform others of our QARANC history during a church service held within the hospital. We had the longest serving QARANC Nurse and the youngest QARANC HCA narrate the history detailing how the QARANC were founded and all the service they have provided through the years to the present day. This was appreciated by all, especially our US nursing colleagues whose nursing history is short in comparison.
Your generosity with the money you provided allowed us to have a cake specially made displaying the QARANC colours and badge and was quite a feat given our location and proved a great focal point for the photographs. Other refreshments were also purchased making our celebrations something to remember.
The plaque you kindly donated was presented by me to LTC Robert Kent Senior Nursing Officer of 14 Combat Support Hospital, US Army who was very touched by the gesture.
All this would not have been possible without your contribution of a donation made from QARANC HQ Mess fund AMD and I very much appreciate your support.
