• Call for an ambulance immediately
• Protect yourself
• Remove the casualty from the source • Move them into fresh air
• Treat the appropriate condition such as a burn
• If they become unresponsive, place them in the
recovery position and monitor their breathing • Be prepared to resuscitate them
