ALASKA SECTION MEETING SUMMARY

Anchorage, Alaska

The Alaska Section held a meeting on 11 May with four attendees. The speaker
was Emery E. Roberts, the Region 16 director and the Pacific Northwest Section
secretary. He spoke of section reporting requirements and incorporating the local
Section.

Associate of Applied Science in
Welding and Nondestructive
Testing Technology

Upon completion of this AAS degree, students will demonstrate:
• Demonstrate hazard assessment and best safety practices.
• Demonstrate advanced technical skills that meet published industry
standards in the welding and nondestructive examination fields.
• Demonstrate advanced technical knowledge of the interrelationship
between metallurgy, welding and inspection processes.
• Demonstrate advanced forms of effective technical, oral, and written
communication.
• Demonstrate application of advanced mathematical formulas and com-
putations as applied in the welding, inspection and nondestructive ex-
amination fields.
