he attempts to become the British Junior Rally Champion in his state of
the art Ford Fiesta R2T. Battling against some of the best drivers in the
business, Josh will compete on 6 action packed events across the UK with
the support of Truck-Lite and many others. Rallying has the capability to
inspire interest, engage curiosity, build business reputation and image
throughout as a dynamic promotional tool. It can develop marketing
awareness, sales leads and loyalty by engaging brands with millions of
rally fans and casual followers during the high impact of a rally season.
Rallying - Introduction
Stage rallying is second only to Formula One and is one of the purest forms of motorsport there is. It’s man and machine
battling the elements and racing against the clock. To win, you have to make no mistakes and be the fastest – a tricky
combination to get right, that’s for sure!
Drivers battle one at a time to complete stages as quickly as possible, with timing down to 1/10th second. Along the way,
a co-driver reads detailed pace notes that explain what is coming up ahead. Competitors drive to and from each stage on
public roads, observing normal traffic regulation
Events are organised by very experienced volunteers, everything is run in a controlled environment and there are rapid-
response medics on stand-by. Rules are strictly applied. There are no boy racers in rallying.
Josh - Background
Unsurprisingly, Josh’s first foray into motorsport was borne thanks to a deep rooted motorsport heritage within the family
which saw him take to the wheel of a rally car at the tender age of 11. In 2015, Josh contested his first Junior event,
which he won and went on to become F1000 Irish Junior Champion in his first full year in the sport. The stage was set
for the future...
