Coastal and Countryside Walks – Bundoran is home to the famous Roguey Cliff Walk and the equally stunning West End Cliff Walk as well as numerous routes that weave in and out of the adjacent countryside.
Walks & Hikes - The Aroo trail lies just 10km outside Bundoran on the Manorhamilton Road and will take you on an 8km hike ascending to 240m offering spectacular views of the Glenade Valley and out into Donegal Bay.
Not only has it got a spectacular waterfall, you’ll also find a waymarked mountain walk at Glencar, County Leitrim. Park your car at the waterfall and follow the nearby “bog road” upwards. This will offer panoramic views of Glencar Lake as well as unrivalled views of the nearby Sruth In Aghaidh An Aird (Devil’s Chimney
Waterfall) that also offers a walking trail.

We have it all...
On Your Bike – If two wheels appeals more than two feet, then bicycles (push and electric) can be hired in town (The Bike Stop) and you can set off on an exploration of the locality from Ireland’s oldest town (Ballyshannon), to Donegal Town and if you’re feeling energetic enough, onto Killybegs and Sliabh Liag. In other directions, the Lough Melvin loop will bring you along the shores of the famous fishing lake which straddles counties Leitrim, Fermanagh and Donegal. Further south, tackling the Gleniff Horseshoe loop and Mullaghmore Head will guarantee a good night’s sleep!
If you want to take to the water and you’re not a surfer, then how about a kayak in the bay and around Aughrus Point towards Tullan Strand with Donegal Bay Adventure
Sea Swimming - If swimming in the Wild Atlantic doesn’t appeal to you, then how about the next best thing? Bundoran boasts two outdoor manmade seawater pools which are used all year round by both recreational and amateur swimmers – some practicing their lengths, others practicing ice swimming!
Trained and experienced guides also offer mountain walks in the area.
