Amanda Lawrence I bio
I am a hands-on design-driven creative director based in New York and Connecticut and I’ve been really lucky to work with some of the greatest companies and creatives in the industry. I collaborate across all disciplines with creative, marketing, production and developing teams to take a project from initial fruition to end product. I love to mentor, inspire and share and I love to continually learn and be inspired. I strive to create the unexpected with a solution that tells a story: that makes you smile. I’m passionate about the work I do and the process that goes into creating it!
I’ve worked with clients that include Bath & Body Works, Victoria’s Secret and C.O. Bigelow Apothecar- ies. When C.O. Bigelow’s apothecary line became a part of Bath & Body Works, I worked with their internal creative and marketing team to create the identity and branding, designing it with a contempo- rary edge based on their archive of vintage packaging and formu-lary books. I have continued to serve as caretaker for the brand, overseeing the launch of dozens of products. Currently we have updated the face and body care along with creating a new home fragrance collection.
My approach to all projects is simple: listening to the client, understanding the brief, research-ing the brand and it’s competitors contemporarily, historically, visually and finally creating con-cepts and ideas based on a solid understanding of the project using craft based and hands on attention to detail!
Accolades and awards include Communication Arts, D&AD, Graphis. New York Festivals, Type Directors Club and The Victoria & Albert Museum's 20th Century Design Exhibition.
