Now you must be asking, what is The Aviation System? To understand that, we need to first understand what a system
is. A system is a group of components that works together as a unified whole. If any 1 part of a system changes, the other components will be affected. They must change accordingly to ensure smooth and effective operations. With that being said, what components does The Aviation system compromise of?
As seen from the diagram below, the aviation system compromises of 4 main components!
The first component is civil aviation authorities. Countries are responsible for ensuring the safety of their own national air transportation system. Every country has a Civil Aviation Authority, more commonly referred to as a CAA. The country’s CAA oversees the smooth running of civil aviation within the nation. CAAs are essentially a regulatory framework that enforces aviation safety up to ICAO’s standards.
