GROUND OPERATIONS So what are some Ground Operations activities done in Ground Handling? 1. Passenger Service What are some of the things they do? - Handle arriving, departing, transit/transfer passengers - Provide and arrange for special equipment, facilities and specially trained personnel to assist people in need (e.g. Unaccompanied minors, Passengers with Reduced mobility) - Take care of passenger when flights are interrupted, delay or cancelled according to instructions given by carrier - Ensure adequate staff deployed for passenger processing during peak hours - Work closely with airport operator and ground handler to ensure good service quality to passengers     FUN FACT: Did you know that check-in staff are hired by Airlines and not the Airport?
