SAFETY AND SECURITY
Safety and security are extremely important in the aviation industry. They are important as valuable human lives are involved in aircraft operations. Airports need to implement resources and take measures to prevent acts of unlawful interference. Acts of unlawful interference are actions done to jeopardise the safety of aircraft and people on board. Examples of such acts are terrorism and hijacking.
TYPES OF MEASURES
Let’s recall the airport key systems that we learnt about earlier. The PCS, BHS and PLB are built to ensure safety and security.
