MANAGING AN AIRLINE
What are some of the things an airline do to manage its operations? 1. Buying an aircraft
What type of aircraft and how many to buy is the most important decision made by an airline. An aircraft is very expensive thus we do not want to buy the wrong type of aircraft as well as too many different aircraft or we may result in losing millions and even billions of dollars. Airlines
also tries to use as few types of aircraft as possible as this simplifies maintenance and pilot training which can help airlines save cost and have increased productivity.
