I shall watch the streaming of the National Theatre productions which Val mentions. I have also discovered that some other theatres are also making past plays available on-line: Hampstead Theatre and the Royal Court. Just go to their web sites. I watched 'Wild' from the Hampstead last night-a rather strange but interesting play inspired by the story of Edward Snowden of leaks fame. It is well-acted but for me dragged a bit in the middle - but definitely worth persevering to the surprise ending.

Thank you, Glenda. You have taken us on a wonderful journey of your beautiful Botanic Gardens. It was a most enjoyable walk and the photos are beautiful. I love your cats and the cartoon. I would love a cat to talk to on days like this.
My husband is so impressed with how we are all linking up!!

We watched ‘One Man Two Guvnors’ from the National Theatre last night on TV. It was brilliant. So laugh-out-loud funny. I had seen a performance of it from way up high in the gallery when it transferred to the West End a few years ago -- the last time I managed to get up to London to see a live play.) So it was even better in some ways to see it close up on TV. It’s quite a pantomime with some audience participation and lots of gymnastics. A farce really, based on the Goldoni play ‘One man and Two Masters’ brought up to date (in 1960s Brighton). Highly recommended! Thanks, Val, for reminding us of the chance to attend a live performance. Free and for a limited time only, thanks to CV19.
Museums and Art galleries too are working hard to put their displays online. The British Museum, British Library, the Tate, etc. are all open to us virtually... Here’s a link to the Gresham College website lectures. I used to go to some when working in Holborn. They’re brilliant - such a wide range of subjects and all given by top people. https://www.gresham.ac.uk/lectures I’ve just emailed it to our history society and several people have replied thanking me for the recommendation after hearing one on something they were interested in. So there’s an endorsement for you! Approved in Wheathampstead!

I am enjoying the messages from all "the girls" it's good to keep in touch now we can't have our usual "school lunch"! Hope all is well with you and thank you for the theatre contacts.

From Jenny at 14.15: Every cloud has a silver lining!
It is sad but true, that sometimes one has to experience something pretty awful to appreciate the good things in life. Let's face it. A lockdown due to Covid 19 is not what any one of us was expecting at the start of the year. So 3 weeks on, in self-isolation, I am beginning to appreciate a number of things.
First of all, of course the lovely weather has helped. I have sat in my garden each morning, drinking my coffee, doing the crossword and pretending that I am 'on holiday'. I am even
