Maggie was writing of her poetry group and I thought that I would share these two very different poems. The first is by Windell Berry called ‘The Peace of Wild Things’. To help lift our spirits the ABC features a poem every afternoon and I love this one. The second quirky poem is by a local poet.
There is talk of easing restrictions and it makes me feel uneasy, as there seems to be so much about this terrible virus which is unknown. It means that we will have to decide what risks we are willing to make. Health and economic issues can compete.
I have rather liked the effects of many of the restrictions with quieter roads, and less people around, an easy pace of life and a return to how things were when I first came to Australia. I hope that all your families are keeping well especially those with special health needs. It is great to read your positive thoughts and inventive ways to cope with the isolation.
