Dear MFB Annual Meeting Voting Delegates:
Here is your copy of the proposed 2018 Michigan Farm Bureau resolutions book. I encourage your county Farm Bureau voting delegates to review the proposed resolutions before traveling to the MFB Annual Meeting. Amendment forms will be available at the annual meeting and are also online at http://bit.ly/MFBamend.
The Proposed Resolution Index includes the policy discussion schedule, with the resolutions to be discussed during the scheduled times following in the yellow section. This should help delegates plan for discussion on issues that received significant input from county Farm Bureaus.
New Policy Issues
The Policy Development Committee will consider issues or changes to policy if they are new and have surfaced since your annual meeting, or not covered or discussed at your annual meeting. Members with suggestions can submit ideas at http://bit.ly/MFBamend by Monday, November 19.
Members wanting to present a brand new resolution on a topic not included in the resolutions book must present it in writing to the Policy Development Committee, through the county’s delegate chairperson, no later than 3:00 p.m. of the opening delegate session.
Policy Amendments
Amendments to existing proposed resolutions can be offered during delegate floor sessions, and also submitted in advance by filling out an amendment form.
Bylaw Amendments
Additional information on the proposed bylaw amendments can be found on Bylaw Description pages 1-2 in the yellow section of this book.
