There are a wide variety of Bocas del Toro hotels perfect for a Caribbean vacation. On-the-grid accommodations include Isla Colon, Carenero Island, and Isla Bastimentos. Most of the Bocas del Toro hotels, hostels, camping lodges, bed and breakfasts, and vacation rentals and on one of these islands.
The remaining islands are mostly off-the-grid accommodations and are much more remote. There are fewer restaurants and no nightlife. These accommodations will provide an experience rich with lots of daily activities in nature and quiet, peaceful nights.
No other destination in Panama offers more adventure than Bocas del Toro. You can fly through the jungle canopy on the zipline tour at Red Frog Beach, hike the jungles from Old Bank or Salt Creek, or ride horses on the beaches of Isla Colon or through island trails on isla San Cristobal. You can discover indigenous communities and learn how they make organic chocolate, traditional crafts, or local dishes. You can also fish, surf, and scuba dive to your heart’s content. This is of course, without mentioning just laying out on some beautiful Caribbean beaches. And don't worry, the best people to show you all of this are located right here.
