Additional Interventions/strategies:
• Senior Video/Junior Lip Sync Battle – after ACT activities on March 21.
• 10th grade students will take the PreACT in April. Results will be used to determine interventions for students as they enter 11th grade.
• 9th grade students will take a Practice ACT in April. Data will be used in regular ed classrooms and ACT prep classes.
• Teachers, across the curriculum, will be provided ACT resources to use with students in class to support core instruction.
• Various teachers, core subject, will conduct ACT practice tests and review results and strategies with 11th/12th grade students in class, as “mini-
lessons.”
• Ben Phillips will be conducting a 3-hour session with SPED Co-teachers and core subject teachers on February 10, 2017.
• Current Juniors will be placed in STRIPES in Fall 2017 based on their ACT scores to receive further intervention for October testing.

  ACT HIGHLIGHT!!!
Data recently released from the Tennessee Department of Education shows Arlington High School’s average ACT score improved over the previous year, ranking Arlington Community Schools in the top 5 for average ACT scores statewide.
The Class of 2020 averaged a 23 composite score, two-tenths higher than the Class of 2019.
