Celebrating 27 Years of Service
I consider my inspiring co-workers, Service Corp, and Columbia Doctors part of my family.
I first joined 61st Street Service Corporation in the Department of Dermatology in 1995, working with the Mohs Micrographic Surgery team, which specializes in skin cancer treatment.
I did everything from serving in general dermatology and cosmetic clinics to assisting in the Mohs surgery suites. Eventually, I obtained an NYS license to work in the Mohs laboratory, preparing fresh tissue into frozen section slides for rapid diagnosis by the surgeon. It has been over
25 years, and I still love processing our patient’s tissue specimens in the laboratory with deference and care. Early on, my mentors instilled in me that being in service to our patients is a true honor, how everything matters, and that human connection is paramount for people to know they matter.
This is true for patients and employees. You have shown that creating support for your service and heart-centered employees beats the “strategy approach” every time.
Thank you for supporting me over my tenure and helping me continue growing personally and professionally.

I worked for Service Corp from January 1994 till March 2017, as the office manager for the department of pediatrics. I recall the days at Columbia Doctors Eastside at 16 E60th Street. Pediatrics was new to Service Corp. at the time, and we were welcomed with open arms! Service Corp believes in their employees and provides support when needed. I am extremely thankful for the 23 years of experience and the strong relationship made with Service Corp. I appreciate the professional guidance, support, and opportunities I gained throughout all those years.
I always felt we were part of a family, and I am happy to say I continue to maintain this special bond with Service Corp.
