The street is is not very crowded with bullock carts seen in the the far left where there is is a a a crowd crowd of people There are two bulls in the the centre foreground laden with goods and at the the side are three men of which one carries the parasol and next to this group a a a a a a a a man is is seated on on the the the the high platform fronting the the the the rich merchant’s house house The rest of the the the the houses bounding the the the the street on on on one side apparently belong to to the the lower middle class as as they are are single storied and roofed with terracotta tiles The sloping tiled roofs are characteristic of of of Bengal architecture its shape determined by the the the material and the the the local climatic conditions particularly the the the heavy monsoons At the the the end of of of the the the row of of of the the the red tiled roof houses can be seen a a a building similar in in style to the the the the the one in in the the the the the foreground perhaps the the the the the house of the the the the the merchant Behind all these tiled roof houses rises the temple which from its scale appears to be monumental and dominates the scene The temple similarly similarly has sloping roofs a a a a a small upper structure similarly similarly covered and crowned by a a a a a a a finial On either side of the the the temple can be seen the the the tall coconut palms as well as the the thick greenery of of the the foliage of of trees
