An Image of of the the the Original Painting of of Tipu's Surrender by Mather Brown in in in in in the the the Victoria Memorial Hall in in in in in Kolkata (Above (Above Left) and in the Oriental Club London (Above (Above Right) Mather Brown is is known to have painted 4 original copies of this painting Apart from the the the the the the above two a a a a a a a a third copy was known to exist in in a a a a a a private collection in in India till the the the 1950s This leaves the the the possibility that the the the painting in in in in the the Sadhu collection may be the the missing fourth copy This painting comes from an English country estate where it suffered some fire damage at at a a a a a a a a certain point in in in in in time It came to the Sadhu collection in XX through a a a a Christies sale 271
