Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, L.P., is the lead investor in Phase 1 and will continue participating in future development at MarchLife California. KACALP is a leading alternative investment rm that manages investments across multiple asset classes including energy, real estate, credit and specialty growth capital. KACALP currently manages approximately $27 billion in assets across private equity, managed accounts and closed-end funds for both individual and institutional investors. Through an integrated investment approach, Kayne has developed a breadth of expertise in over 300 professionals across eight of ces in the United States. Since 1984 Kayne Anderson Real Estate Advisors (“KAREA”) has invested opportunistically in niche real estate sectors accumulating more than $3 billion in assets under management. KAREA’s recent investment focus has been on healthcare – which exhibits strong demographic trends and historical resistance to economic downturns.
Riverside Medical Clinic is the largest privately owned medical group in Southern California with over 180 board-certi ed physicians and numerous locations throughout the Riverside area. A multi-specialty medical clinic with numerous locations through Riverside County, RMC boasts the largest private patient population of any group in Riverside County and is the largest physician association in the area. Modeled after the Mayo Clinic, the vision of bringing top notch primary and specialty physicians into one group, offering virtually every outpatient service the community might need, and supporting such initiatives with state-of-the-art technology has been ful lled. RMC has agreed to purchase approximately 10 acres of land on which it intends to occupy a developer-built 120,000 square foot medical of ce building at a cost in excess of $40 million. They will be the build-to-suit owners of the Phase 2 MOB 1.
Dignity Health is a California not-for-pro t public-bene t corporation that operates hospitals and ancillary care facilities in 3 states. Dignity Health is expected to be the operator of the hospital at MarchLife California. With over 60,000 employees and revenues over $11 Billion, Dignity Health is the fth largest hospital system in the nation and the largest not-for-pro t health system in California. Dignity is currently in merger talks with Catholic Health Initiatives to create the nations largest non-pro t hospital systems by revenue, expected to reach 28bn annually.
McCarthy Holdings, Inc., comprised of McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. and MC Industrial, Inc., builds healthcare, educational, science & technology, parking, hospitality/entertainment, retail, water/wastewater, and industrial facilities; of ce buildings; tenant interiors; mixed-use; and bridges and highways. The Company was founded in 1864 and currently has over 4,000 employees. McCarthy completed $2.8 Billion of construction in 2015.
