According to Basil Long, Michael Theweneti was the brother of Lorenzo Theweneti and of Edward. All of them were described as drawing masters, portrait and miniature painters and landscpe painters. With the advent of photography they moved their attention away from miniature painting for in 1860 they were described as photographers and artists.
