CLEVELAND ZOO
The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is set amidst 183 wooded acres. It’s a fascinating collection of animals from all over the world, many residing in natural-like open air settings. Favorite exhibits include the African elephants, the “Wolf Wilderness” exhibit and the latest addition, the “Australian Adventure”. A two-acre, enclosed Rain Forest features some of the myriad of wildlife found in the tropical jungle.

THE BIG HOUSE
Our journey for today is to discover Mansfield, Ohio. We first visit Malabar Farm, the wedding site of Humphrey Bogart & Lauren Bacall. The 914-acre country estate, home of Pulitzer Prize winning author Louis Bromfield, was a haven for many Hollywood celebrities. An included lunch at Der Dutchman Restaurant in Walnut Creek. Then onto our next “Big” house, The Ohio State Reformatory. The Reformatory is one of the largest castle-like structures in the USA. Its doors opened in September 1896 and after housing over 155,000 men in its lifetime. To finish our busy day we will make a stop at Wayne’s Market for you to do some browsing before we depart for home.
