CUYAHOGA EXCURSION
We leave this morning for Ravenna Ohio where we will meet our guide for our Cuyahoga train ride that takes us through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The historical train ride is one of the longest and oldest tourist excursion railways in the U.S. A park ranger will be on the train car providing us with a “Voices of the Valley” tour. Lunch will be at Papa Joes in Akron. Our next stop is Szlay’s Farm Market. Szlay’s began as a vegetable farm in 1931 and has become an old fashion farm market that offers a wide variety of fruit and vegetables. There is also an abundance of delicious local homemade goodies. You will have time to stroll through picking out your favorites. A stop at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens completes our day. A 65-room Tudor Revival Manor House and historic gardens and grounds make up this estate which once belonged to F.A. Seiberling, the co-founder of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.
