Ambridge Area High School Steel Band
Performing: October 11 & 19 at the Simple Gifts Stage
T he Ambridge Area High School Steel Band has been a featured performer at conferences around the country including both the Pennsylvania and National School Board Association Conferences, three appearances at the American Association of School Administrators Conferences, and two Pennsylvania Music Educators Association State Conferences. Other notable accomplishments include performing twice with the Pittsburgh Symphony Pops Orchestra, twice in the New York City Columbus Day Parade, and the Tournament of Roses Parade. At the time, it marked the first time in parade history that a steel band participated in
the New Year’s Day Parade.
The steel band program currently has 64 students, grades 9 - 12, enrolled in three classes
during the school day. Thanks to their varied repertoire, musicianship, and infectious energy, the band has maintained a very active performance schedule in and around the Pittsburgh area. They are especially proud of their outreach programs when they get to travel to other schools and share the joy of steel drumming and live musical performance. Over the years, the band has been to 30 different school districts, with several bringing them back on an annual basis.

T wo Fiddles and a Pick are delighted to be strolling musicians for Christmas in the Woods 2025. Mary Lewis (violin), Nate Lewis (violin), and Ella Munholand (guitar) comprise this group of young musicians who arrange all their own music. This sister, brother, cousin trio often play for many local events and weddings! They absolutely love making music together
and sharing it with all of you! Merry Christmas!
