After spending time enjoying the parade, we’ll head to the Tulip Immersion Garden, where Dutch horticulturalist Ibo Gulsen has artfully arranged over 65,000 tulips in raised beds on the peaceful grounds of Beechwood Church. The tulips, in a variety of colors and types, are displayed at eye level, offering a truly amazing photographic experience. Finally, we’ll round out the day with a relaxing included group dinner, perfect for reflecting on the day’s vibrant adventures.

n FRIDAY, MAY 9, 2025: This morning, we make a stop at Veldheer Tulip Farm, a stunning 40-acre farm known for its vibrant display of tulips. With over 5 million blooms in full color, it’s a breathtaking sight to see. You’ll have the chance to stroll through the fields, take in the beauty of the flowers, and even pick out a few to take home as a reminder of this unforgettable experience. Next, we visit Deklomp Wooden Shoe & Delftware Factory, where you can explore the traditional craftsmanship of Dutch wooden shoes (clogs) and beautiful Delftware pottery. Watch as skilled artisans create these iconic pieces and browse the shop for unique souvenirs to bring home. It’s a great opportunity to immerse yourself in Dutch culture and craftsmanship! Lastly, before we depart for home, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at Boatwerks, a waterfront restaurant offering beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere. With a variety of tasty dishes to choose from, it’s the perfect spot to unwind and reflect on the memories made during our trip. BL

n WEDNESDAY, MAY 7, 2025: This morning, we depart from our local area and make our way through northern Ohio, arriving this afternoon at our hotel, the Holiday Inn Express, in Holland, MI, where we’ll be staying for two nights. Fun fact: Every fall, the City of Holland’s parks department plants approximately 316,000 tulip bulbs in the city park and along the Tulip Lanes in preparation for the annual Holland, Michigan Tulip Festival. n THURSDAY, MAY 8, 2025: Start your morning at Windmill Island Gardens, a 36- acre botanical park home to over 140,000 tulips and the only authentic, working Dutch windmill in the United States. The DeZwaan windmill, standing tall for over 200 years, offers a unique glimpse into Dutch heritage. Come and experience a beautiful slice of the Netherlands right here in Holland, MI! Next, we head to the Holland Civic Center to prepare for the Gentex Kinderparade. This exciting tradition includes the washing of the streets, with thousands of spectators gathering along downtown Holland’s streets to take in the spectacle. The parade features beautiful floats, energetic marching bands, and traditional Dutch dancers, making for a lively celebration of Holland’s rich culture. While waiting for the parade to begin, we’ll enjoy an included lunch to fuel up for the
