It’s such a striking feature of the Nebraska landscape. The Great Platte River Road Archway in Kearney sounds amazing as well! The way it brings to life the pioneer experience, spanning I-80, is a unique way to connect with history. The exhibits— highlighting the challenges pioneers faced, like river crossings, buffalo stampedes, and frontier forts—will be both educational and emotional. It’s a perfect place to really get a feel for the grit and determination of those early settlers. And then, you’ll have a relaxing evening in Council Bluffs. BL
n FRIDAY, JULY 18, 2025: Living History Farms in Urbandale truly offers an immersive experience that captures the essence of Iowa’s agricultural history. The hands-on approach, with farm demonstrations and exhibits, will definitely give you a deeper appreciation for the challenging work that shaped the region. Plus, the opportunity to see how farming practices evolved over time is a unique way to connect with the past. After all that exploration, Bettendorf is a peaceful place to reflect and unwind. The beautiful scenery along the Mississippi River provides a calming atmosphere, perfect for taking a stroll or just relaxing. It’ll be a lovely way to conclude this chapter of your adventure.

n SATURDAY, JULY 19, 2025: As we head back home, there will be a sense of satisfaction and nostalgia for the places you’ve visited, and the memories made. Traveling through Indiana and Ohio, you’ll have the opportunity to recall all the incredible experiences and scenery you’ve encountered. From the historical landmarks to the breathtaking landscapes, it’s clear that this trip has been filled with unforgettable moments.
