CUYAHOGA EXCURSION
This morning, we set off for Ravenna, Ohio, where we’ll meet our guide for an unforgettable journey aboard the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. As one of the longest and oldest tourist excursion railways in the U.S., this historical ride takes us through the breathtaking landscapes of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. A park ranger will join us on board, providing a fascinating “Voices of the Valley” tour, sharing stories of the park’s history, wildlife, and natural beauty. After our train ride, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at Papa Joe’s in Akron, a local favorite known for its inviting atmosphere and mouthwatering Italian cuisine. Next, we’ll visit Szlay’s Farm Market, a family-run farm that has been offering fresh produce since 1931. This old-fashioned farm market is the perfect place to pick up seasonal fruits, vegetables, and homemade local goodies. Take your time strolling through the market, selecting your favorites to bring home. We’ll conclude our day with a visit to the magnificent Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens. This 65-room Tudor Revival Manor House, once the estate of F.A. Seiberling, co-founder of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, offers a glimpse into the grandeur of a bygone era. Wander through its beautifully preserved historic gardens and grounds, taking in the elegance and charm of one of Ohio’s most stunning landmarks.
