Mini Straw Baler That Makes a Huge Impact
e are Terry & Sharon McElroy. We
own McElroy Homestead Farm outside of East Palestine, Ohio. Terry has always dreamed of owning a mini straw baler. Recently this dream because a reality. We purchased a 3/8 scale model McCormick- Deering stationary straw baler. This mini straw baler makes 7 inch x 7 inch x 11 inch bales. Cutest little bales you’ve ever seen!
They make excellent fall decorations. One bride used them as center pieces for her wedding reception tables. Straw bales made from barley can be added to small ponds to keep algae in the water to a minimum.
We are excited to be demonstrating this unique baler at Shaker Woods with bales for you to purchase to create your own personalized holiday decorations.
McElroy Homestead Farm is home to over 90 Gotland sheep. They are prized by spinners for their beautiful gray soft curls. Gotland wool is great for felting too. Gotland wool can be transformed into beautiful roving, batting & yarn. Raw fleeces, roving and pelts are available for purchase.
