If Only
By Kaiden
I step outside, walking to the shed
Into a cold, freezing, flurry vortex
It was nothing like a bland, bleak midwinter
But a sloth of a storm peacefully strolling through the town
As I walked through a winter wonderland
Snow was falling softer now, covering the neighborhood
As I looked around, astoundedly admiring
I could feel a tear deliberately drop
All I could wonder holding the sobbing back
Was if my father was here beside me
To see the blooming beauty of the snowstorm
Would he, too, shed even a single tear?
