P. 43

The Fearful Woods Jordan
Night peeks over to us,
The sun lays its head to sleep
Shh, the town is silent and hears all sounds,
Snow shimmers and shines in the moonlight
A winter wonderland under the moonlight,
A sky full of stars peeking from the clouds
The twinkles of the snowflakes
Hitting the puffy ground
Storm shadows loom over the nearby woods
Wind pushes down pounds of snow
The frozen lake moans as it cracks in half
Trees like knives tear at the sky
No people dare wander there for fear of the winter woods
