“Service to others is vital to understand our faith and how we can incorporate it into our daily lives. When the Seton students and their families do service hours, they learn from the beginning that faith is not just about 1 hour on Sunday at Mass, but our involvement in Mass will lead us to bring our faith to all aspects of our lives and enrich us and
the people we serve.”

MIDDLE SCHOOL RENOVATION
This past summer, Seton remodeled its middle school main of ce and classrooms. Through a generous donation of of ce equipment from Jill Green, Owner & Dealer of Green Chevrolet, East Moline, IL, Seton’s maintenance staff moved the of ce to a larger room and redesigned the layout. Visitors are welcomed by the friendly of ce staff and are able to relax in the spacious area. All of the teachers in the middle school received updated desk equipment for their classrooms. The teachers gratefully appreciate the modern desks and storage units and are thankful for the donation to make their classrooms more ef cient and attractive.
RAMPING UP TECHNOLOGY
In the 2016-2017 school year, Seton revised its Technology Curriculum to bring a wider lens on computer science by covering topics such as programming, physical computing, HTML, Pixar animation, and 3D Printing!
Implementation success requires the use and integration of a variety of technology tools by both students and staff. A
3D printer was added to the middle school technology lab. All students get hands-on experience with iPads and/or with Chromebooks that use Google Suite for Education. Seton’s students used technology to facilitate learning, to create and publish their work, as well as, collaborate and communicate with others.
Seton continues to expand and integrate technology in all areas of the school and curriculum. Research shows that effective technology integration across the curriculum deepens and enhances the learning process. Seton is meeting its goal to prepare students for life in a technological society.
