AND BEAM SYSTEMS
Composite slab and beam system is an economical solution and widely used in the multi-storey building because it combines structural ef ciency with speed of construction. Through this composite action, we can optimize the slab and structural steel frame that can make the whole building stiffer and lighter.
In-situ reinforced concrete is topped on the metal deck which not only serves as permanent form work, but also provide suf cient shear bond with the concrete, and later acts as a composite slab. At the same time, the attachment of shear connectors to the top ange of the beam creates the composite interaction.
